Sentence Patterns HSK4

The 把 construction moves the object in front of the verb to show what happens to it. It is used when the action gives a clear result, not for ordinary descriptions.

Object before the verb

The order is subject + 把 + object + verb + result. 我把书放在桌子上。 I put the book on the table. The 把 tells the listener that something specific happens to 书.

क्रम है कर्ता + 把 + कर्म + क्रिया + परिणाम। 我把书放在桌子上। मैंने पुस्तक मेज़ पर रखी। 把 बताता है कि 书 के साथ कुछ विशेष होता है।

The shape of the sentence

S 把 O V + 了 / 完 / 好 / 在 + place / 给 + person. 他把作业做完了。 He finished the homework. 我把礼物送给了她。 I gave the gift to her.

कर्ता 把 कर्म क्रिया + 了 / 完 / 好 / 在 + स्थान / 给 + व्यक्ति। 他把作业做完了। उसने गृहकार्य पूरा कर लिया। 我把礼物送给了她। मैंने उपहार उसे दे दिया।

把 in daily sentences

请把门关上。 Please close the door. 我把钱包忘在家里了。 I left my wallet at home. 他把名字写错了。 He wrote the name wrongly. 我把这件事告诉了他。 I told him about this matter.

请把门关上। कृपया दरवाज़ा बंद कीजिए। 我把钱包忘在家里了। मैं अपना बटुआ घर भूल आया। 他把名字写错了। उसने नाम ग़लत लिखा। 我把这件事告诉了他। मैंने उसे इस बात के बारे में बताया।

把 with a result-less verb

Learners write 我把书看 for "I read the book". 把 needs a result: 我把书看完了 (I finished reading it). It is also wrong with 是, 在, 喜欢 and 觉得, which describe states rather than actions.

"मैंने पुस्तक पढ़ी" के लिए शिक्षार्थी 我把书看 लिखते हैं। 把 को परिणाम चाहिए: 我把书看完了 (मैंने इसे पढ़ पूरा किया)। 是, 在, 喜欢 और 觉得 के साथ भी यह ग़लत है, क्योंकि वे कार्य नहीं, अवस्था बताते हैं।

把 in HSK 4

HSK 4 gives a sentence with the object in the ordinary position and asks you to rewrite it with 把, or gives a blank where 把 is the only fit because the verb already has a result.

HSK 4 सामान्य क्रम वाला वाक्य देकर 把 के साथ बदलने को कहता है, या ऐसा रिक्त स्थान देता है जहाँ 把 ही उपयुक्त है क्योंकि क्रिया में परिणाम पहले से है।
