Sentence Patterns HSK3
A 被 sentence makes the receiver the subject: 我的手机被偷了 means my phone was stolen. The doer, when named, stands after 被.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
被 marks the passive: 门被风吹开了 The door was blown open by the wind. 被 is the mirror image of 把, which puts the object after the marker to show an action on it.
被 कर्म-वाच्य दिखाता है: 门被风吹开了 दरवाज़ा हवा से खुल गया। 被, 把 का दर्पण-प्रतिबिंब है, जो वस्तु को चिह्न के बाद रखकर उस पर कार्य दिखाता है।
Like 把, a 被 sentence does not end on a bare verb: 我的手机被偷了 has the result 了. The doer can be dropped when it is unknown: 被偷了.
把 की तरह 被 वाक्य खाली क्रिया पर समाप्त नहीं होता: 我的手机被偷了 में परिणाम 了 है। कर्ता अज्ञात हो तो छोड़ा जा सकता है: 被偷了।
我的手机被偷了。 My phone was stolen. 他被老师批评了。 He was criticised by the teacher. 房间被打扫干净了。 The room was cleaned.
我的手机被偷了। मेरा फ़ोन चोरी हो गया। 他被老师批评了। उसकी शिक्षक ने आलोचना की। 房间被打扫干净了। कमरा साफ़ कर दिया गया।
我被他笑 is unfinished because nothing happened to me. 我被他笑死了 is complete. The verb after 被 needs an ending that shows the effect.
我被他笑 अधूरा है क्योंकि मेरे साथ कुछ हुआ ही नहीं। 我被他笑死了 पूरा है। 被 के बाद की क्रिया को प्रभाव दिखाने वाला अंत चाहिए।
If you are simply reporting an event, a plain sentence is better: 我的手机丢了 is natural for my phone is lost. Keep 被 for when the receiver matters.
यदि केवल घटना बतानी हो तो साधारण वाक्य बेहतर है: 我的手机丢了 मेरा फ़ोन खो गया के लिए सहज है। 被 तब रखें जब ग्रहण करने वाला महत्वपूर्ण हो।
