Characters & Radicals HSK6
A wrong character usually comes from a same-sounding word or a remembered shape. The fix is to check the meaning of each character and the fixed form of the word, not to trust the sound alone.

Many wrong characters are homophones. 部署 means arrangement and uses 部, not 布. 寒暄 means exchanging greetings and uses 暄, not 喧. 迫不及待 uses 及, meaning reach, not 急, meaning anxious. Check the character that carries the meaning.
अनेक गलत अक्षर समान ध्वनि वाले होते हैं। 部署 का अर्थ व्यवस्था है और इसमें 部 आता है, 布 नहीं। 寒暄 का अर्थ अभिवादन है और इसमें 暄 आता है, 喧 नहीं। 迫不及待 में 及 है, जिसका अर्थ पहुँचना है, 急 नहीं, जिसका अर्थ व्याकुल है। अर्थ बताने वाले अक्षर को देखिए।
正确写法：按部就班、迫不及待、一如既往、再接再厉、墨守成规。错误写法：按步就班、迫不急待、一如继往、再接再励、默守成规。 The wrong forms all replace a meaning-bearing character with a sound-alike.

Proofreading is a practical skill. Read a notice backwards, character by character, to catch 布署 for 部署 or 寒喧 for 寒暄. A spell checker will not help because both forms are valid characters; only the word meaning tells you which is right.
प्रूफ़रीडिंग एक व्यावहारिक कौशल है। सूचना को उलटा, अक्षर-दर-अक्षर पढ़िए ताकि 部署 की जगह 布署 या 寒暄 की जगह 寒喧 पकड़ में आए। वर्तनी-जाँच उपकरण सहायक नहीं होगा क्योंकि दोनों रूप मान्य अक्षर हैं; केवल शब्द का अर्थ बताता है कि कौन सही है।
The most common errors are sound-based: 迫不急待 for 迫不及待, 再接再励 for 再接再厉, 一如继往 for 一如既往, 默守成规 for 墨守成规. Another group swaps characters with similar shapes, such as 辩, 辨 and 辫. Say the meaning of the word aloud before you write it.
सबसे सामान्य गलतियाँ ध्वनि पर आधारित हैं: 迫不及待 की जगह 迫不急待, 再接再厉 की जगह 再接再励, 一如既往 की जगह 一如继往, 墨守成规 की जगह 默守成规। दूसरा समूह मिलते-जुलते आकार वाले अक्षरों को बदल देता है, जैसे 辩, 辨 और 辫। लिखने से पहले शब्द का अर्थ बोलिए।
Learn words in families, not as single characters: 部署, 部门, 部分 all share 部; 寒暄 and 暄暖 share 暄. When a character feels uncertain, write the whole word three times and check the meaning-bearing part each time.
शब्दों को परिवारों में सीखिए, अकेले अक्षरों में नहीं: 部署, 部门, 部分 में 部 है; 寒暄 और 暄暖 में 暄 है। जब कोई अक्षर अनिश्चित लगे, तो पूरा शब्द तीन बार लिखिए और हर बार अर्थ बताने वाला भाग देखिए।
HSK 6 writing is marked for characters, and a single wrong character can cost the item. In the reading section, wrong-character options are built from homophones of the correct word. Compare the meaning of each option, not just its sound.
