Lesson

不 or 没

不 goes before most verbs for "do not": 我不去 (I am not going). 没 goes before 有 and before a verb for a past action that did not happen: 我没去 (I did not go).

不 अधिकांश क्रियाओं से पहले "नहीं" के लिए आता है: 我不去 (मैं नहीं जा रहा)। 没 有 से पहले और बीते अनिष्पन्न कार्य की क्रिया से पहले आता है: 我没去 (मैं नहीं गया)।

Side by side

我不喝茶。 I do not drink tea. 我没有钱。 I have no money. 他没来。 He did not come. 她不是老师。 She is not a teacher.

我不喝茶। मैं चाय नहीं पीता। 我没有钱। मेरे पास पैसा नहीं है। 他没来। वह नहीं आया। 她不是老师। वह अध्यापिका नहीं है।

没有, always together

有 is never negated by 不. The fixed negative is 没有. Study it as a single unit, the way you learn 不客气.

有 का नकार 不 से कभी नहीं होता। स्थिर नकारात्मक रूप 没有 है। इसे 不客气 की तरह एक इकाई मानकर सीखिए।

不 for the past

Learners say 我不去了 for "I did not go yesterday". The past needs 没: 我昨天没去。 Reserve 不 for now and the future.

शिक्षार्थी "मैं कल नहीं गया" के लिए 我不去了 कहते हैं। बीते काल के लिए 没 चाहिए: 我昨天没去। अब और भविष्य के लिए 不 रखिए।

Negation in the reading paper

A single 没 flips the meaning of a whole sentence in the HSK. When you see 不 or 没, underline it before you answer.

HSK में एक 没 पूरे वाक्य का अर्थ बदल देता है। 不 या 没 दिखे तो उत्तर देने से पहले उस पर रेखा खींचिए।
