Correlative words work in fixed pairs. The first half announces the relation and the second half completes it, so a sentence is wrong if the two halves come from different pairs. Learning the pairs as chunks is the safest method.

关联词语 come in fixed pairs. The first half announces the relation and the second half completes it: 不但…而且… (not only... but also), 虽然…但是… (although... yet), 因为…所以… (because... so), 如果…就… (if... then), 只有…才… (only if... then), 只要…就… (as long as... then), 无论…都… (no matter... still), 即使…也… (even if... still).
关联词语 निश्चित जोड़ों में आते हैं। पहला भाग संबंध बताता है और दूसरा उसे पूरा करता है: 不但…而且… (केवल नहीं, बल्कि), 虽然…但是… (हालाँकि, फिर भी), 因为…所以… (क्योंकि, इसलिए), 如果…就… (यदि, तो), 只有…才… (केवल तभी, जब), 只要…就… (जब तक, तो), 无论…都… (चाहे कुछ भी हो, फिर भी), 即使…也… (भले ही, फिर भी)।
他不但会说汉语，而且会写汉字。 虽然天气很冷，但是大家还是来了。 因为堵车，所以我迟到了。 如果明天下雨，比赛就取消。 只有努力，才能成功。 只要努力，就能进步。 无论多难，我都要试一试。 即使你不来，我们也照常开会。
वह न केवल चीनी बोल सकता है, बल्कि अक्षर भी लिख सकता है। मौसम बहुत ठंडा था, फिर भी सब आए। ट्रैफ़िक जाम के कारण मुझे देर हो गई। यदि कल बारिश हुई तो मुक़ाबला रद्द हो जाएगा। केवल परिश्रम से ही सफलता मिल सकती है। जब तक परिश्रम करेंगे, प्रगति होगी। चाहे कितना भी कठिन हो, मैं कोशिश करूँगा। भले ही तुम न आओ, हम बैठक सामान्य रूप से करेंगे।
Essays use these pairs to make the logic visible: 虽然 for concession, 因为 for cause, 如果 for condition and 只有 for a necessary condition. In speech the second half is sometimes dropped, but in writing both halves should be present.
निबंध इन जोड़ों से तर्क स्पष्ट करते हैं: 虽然 विरोधाभास के लिए, 因为 कारण के लिए, 如果 शर्त के लिए और 只有 अनिवार्य शर्त के लिए। बोलचाल में कभी दूसरा भाग छूट जाता है, पर लेखन में दोनों भाग होने चाहिए।
The commonest error is mixing pairs: 只有…就…, 只要…才… and 无论…就… are all wrong. Use 只有 with 才, 只要 with 就, and 无论 with 都 or 也. Do not add 所以 after 虽然…但是…. When the two clauses have different subjects, the first half often goes before its subject.
सबसे आम गलती जोड़े मिलाना है: 只有…就…, 只要…才… और 无论…就… सभी गलत हैं। 只有 के साथ 才, 只要 के साथ 就 और 无论 के साथ 都 या 也 आता है। 虽然…但是… के बाद 所以 न जोड़िए। जब दोनों उपवाक्यों के कर्ता अलग हों, तो पहला भाग प्रायः अपने कर्ता से पहले आता है।
When you learn a pair, say the first half and let the second half follow automatically. Write the pair in the margin of every sentence you meet. In an exam blank, decide the relation first, then recall which second half belongs to that relation.
जोड़ा सीखते समय पहला भाग बोलिए और दूसरा भाग अपने आप पीछे आने दीजिए। जो भी वाक्य मिले, उसके किनारे जोड़ा लिखिए। परीक्षा के रिक्त स्थान में पहले संबंध तय कीजिए, फिर याद कीजिए कि उस संबंध का दूसरा भाग कौन-सा है।
HSK5 sentence-completion items usually give the first half and ask for the second. Read the relation, not just the words: 虽然 needs a turn, 只有 needs 才, and 即使 needs 也. An option that repeats the first half is almost never correct.
HSK5 में वाक्य पूरा करने वाले प्रश्न प्रायः पहला भाग देकर दूसरा पूछते हैं। केवल शब्द नहीं, संबंध पढ़िए: 虽然 के बाद मोड़, 只有 के बाद 才 और 即使 के बाद 也 चाहिए। पहले भाग को दोहराने वाला विकल्प लगभग कभी सही नहीं होता।

💡 即使…也… 表示让步，意思是即使你不来，会议照样进行，不受影响。
