Exam Preparation HSK3
HSK3 listening has 40 questions in four parts and lasts about 35 minutes. Each recording plays twice, so the first listen can catch the topic and the second can catch the detail the question asks.

The paper has picture choice, true or false, dialogue questions and passage questions. Each recording is played twice, and the printed questions are visible before the audio begins.
पत्र में चित्र चुनना, सही या ग़लत, संवाद के प्रश्न और गद्यांश के प्रश्न हैं। हर रिकॉर्डिंग दो बार बजती है और मुद्रित प्रश्न ऑडियो शुरू होने से पहले दिखते हैं।
男：你几点下班？ 女：六点半。 问：女的几点下班？ The answer is 六点半. Read the question first, then listen for the time inside the dialogue.
男：你几点下班? 女：六点半। 问：女的几点下班? उत्तर 六点半 है। पहले प्रश्न पढ़िए, फिर संवाद में समय सुनिए।
In real conversation a sentence is not replayed. Decide what information you need, then listen for the number, place or reason instead of translating every word.
वास्तविक बातचीत में वाक्य दोबारा नहीं सुनते। पहले तय कीजिए कि कौन-सी जानकारी चाहिए, फिर हर शब्द का अनुवाद करने के बजाय संख्या, स्थान या कारण सुनिए।
Learners read the options during the first listen and miss the opening words. The first sentence usually names the speaker, place or time, so keep your eyes on the question and your ears on the start.
शिक्षार्थी पहली बार सुनते समय विकल्प पढ़ते हैं और शुरुआती शब्द चूक जाते हैं। पहला वाक्य प्रायः वक्ता, स्थान या समय बताता है, इसलिए आँखें प्रश्न पर और कान शुरुआत पर रखिए।
Use the five minutes for the answer sheet to write keywords, not full sentences. A number, a place name or one verb is enough to choose the option.
उत्तर पत्र के पाँच मिनट में पूरे वाक्य नहीं, केवल मुख्य शब्द लिखिए। विकल्प चुनने के लिए एक संख्या, स्थान का नाम या एक क्रिया पर्याप्त है।
In the true or false part, a detail changed in the audio makes the statement false. Listen for small changes in time, price and person, not only for the main topic.
सही या ग़लत भाग में ऑडियो में बदला गया छोटा विवरण कथन को ग़लत बना देता है। केवल मुख्य विषय नहीं, समय, कीमत और व्यक्ति के छोटे बदलाव भी सुनिए।
