况且 adds a second reason that makes the conclusion stronger. It comes after one reason has been given and pushes the listener toward the conclusion the speaker already has in mind.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
Reason 1，况且 reason 2. 今天太晚了，况且下着大雨，我们还是明天去吧。 The first reason is enough to delay; 况且 adds another that makes staying in the clear choice.
कारण 1，况且 कारण 2। 今天太晚了，况且下着大雨，我们还是明天去吧। पहला कारण टालने के लिए पर्याप्त है; 况且 दूसरा कारण जोड़कर रुकने को स्पष्ट चुनाव बना देता है।
他刚来，况且还不熟悉这里，大家多帮帮他。 这件衣服太贵，况且颜色也不合适。 路这么远，况且天又快黑了，我们打车吧。 他已经很累了，况且明天还要早起。

In conversation 况且 supports a suggestion: 这家店太远了，况且现在去也来不及了。 It is a gentle push, not a hard command, so it fits advice between friends and colleagues.
बातचीत में 况且 सुझाव को सहारा देता है: 这家店太远了，况且现在去也来不及了। यह कोमल आग्रह है, कठोर आदेश नहीं, इसलिए मित्रों और सहकर्मियों की सलाह में फिट बैठता है।
况且 adds a reason in the same direction and never turns the sentence. 况且但是 is wrong, and a sentence like 他很有钱，况且很吝啬 contradicts itself. For a turn, use 但是 or 反而.
况且 उसी दिशा में कारण जोड़ता है और वाक्य को कभी मोड़ता नहीं। 况且但是 ग़लत है, और 他很有钱，况且很吝啬 जैसा वाक्य स्वयं विरोधाभासी है। मोड़ के लिए 但是 या 反而 लगाइए।
Before speaking, count your reasons. One reason needs no connective; two or more in the same direction invite 况且 before the later one. Keep the strongest reason last.
बोलने से पहले अपने कारण गिनिए। एक कारण के लिए कोई जोड़ने वाला शब्द आवश्यक नहीं; एक ही दिशा में दो या अधिक होने पर बाद वाले से पहले 况且 आता है। सबसे मज़बूत कारण अंत में रखिए।
HSK 5 reading pairs 况且 with 也, 又 and 更 to stack reasons. A blank on such a connective is answered by checking whether the second clause adds to the first or reverses it.
HSK 5 पठन कारण जोड़ने के लिए 况且 को 也, 又 और 更 के साथ रखता है। ऐसे जोड़ने वाले शब्द के रिक्त स्थान का उत्तर यह देखकर मिलता है कि दूसरा उपवाक्य पहले में जोड़ता है या उसे उलटता है।
Q1. “他很有钱，况且很吝啬。” 是通顺的句子。
“他很有钱，况且很吝啬।” सही वाक्य है, यह सही है या ग़लत?

💡 两句方向相反，况且 不能用于转折。
