Tones & Pinyin HSK2
Some syllables lose their tone and become short and light. The common endings 子, 们, 的, 了 and reduplicated family words almost always go neutral.
Tones & Pinyin — The four tones, neutral tone, tone sandhi and the pinyin spellings.
The second syllable of a doubled family word is neutral: 妈妈 mama, 爸爸 baba, 哥哥 gege. The ending 子 is neutral: 桌子 zhuozi, 椅子 yizi. So are the particles 的, 了, 吗, 呢, 吧.
दोहराए परिवार-शब्द का दूसरा शब्दांश हल्का होता है: 妈妈 mama, 爸爸 baba, 哥哥 gege। अंत 子 हल्का है: 桌子 zhuozi, 椅子 yizi। कण 的, 了, 吗, 呢, 吧 भी हल्के हैं।
妈妈 mama (not ma1 ma1), 名字 mingzi, 朋友 pengyou, 时候 shihou, 谢谢 xiexie. In each the last syllable is shorter and flatter than the one before it.
妈妈 mama (ma1 ma1 नहीं), 名字 mingzi, 朋友 pengyou, 时候 shihou, 谢谢 xiexie। हर एक में अंतिम शब्दांश पहले से छोटा और सपाट होता है।
Learners say ma1ma1 and ming2zi3, which sounds forced. The neutral tone is not laziness; it is required, and native speakers hear it immediately.
शिक्षार्थी ma1ma1 और ming2zi3 बोलते हैं, जो कृत्रिम लगता है। हल्का सुर आलस्य नहीं, आवश्यक है, और मूल वक्ता उसे तुरंत सुन लेता है।
Store 妈妈 as one chunk "mama" rather than two tones. Treating it as a single sound removes the temptation to flatten or over-stress the ending.
妈妈 को दो सुरों की जगह एक अंश "mama" की तरह याद रखिए। इसे एक ध्वनि मानने से अंत पर अनावश्यक ज़ोर देने की प्रवृत्ति हट जाती है।
HSK listening contrasts shihou (time) with shi2 hou4 style errors. Recognising the neutral ending tells you which of two similar words you heard.
HSK श्रवण में shihou (समय) तथा ग़लत shi2 hou4 जैसे रूपों का अंतर पूछा जाता है। हल्के अंत को पहचानने से पता चलता है कि दो मिलते शब्दों में से कौन सुनाई दिया।
