Sentence Patterns HSK5
如果 opens a condition and 就 introduces what follows from it. The pair lets a speaker make a plan, a warning or a promise depend on one situation, and the 就 is what marks the result rather than a new fact.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
如果 + condition，subject + 就 + result. The condition may come first (如果下雨，我们就不去) or second (我们就不去，如果下雨). In careful writing the condition usually comes first.
如果 + शर्त，कर्ता + 就 + परिणाम। शर्त पहले आ सकती है (如果下雨，我们就不去) या बाद में (我们就不去，如果下雨)। सावधान लेखन में शर्त प्रायः पहले आती है।
如果明天有空，我就去看你。 如果你不努力，就不会成功。 如果他是对的，我们应该听他的。 如果你想学好汉语，就要每天练习。
如果明天有空，我就去看你। यदि कल समय हुआ तो मैं तुमसे मिलने आऊँगा। 如果你不努力，就不会成功। यदि मेहनत नहीं करोगे तो सफल नहीं होगे। 如果他是对的，我们应该听他的। यदि वह सही है तो हमें उसकी बात माननी चाहिए। 如果你想学好汉语，就要每天练习। चीनी अच्छी तरह सीखनी है तो हर दिन अभ्यास कीजिए।
A 如果 clause makes advice polite: 如果你不舒服，就休息一下吧 sounds gentler than a bare command. News and essays use the same frame to state what would happen under a policy.
如果 वाला उपवाक्य सलाह को विनम्र बनाता है: 如果你不舒服，就休息一下吧 सीधे आदेश से कोमल लगता है। समाचार और निबंध इसी ढाँचे से बताते हैं कि किसी नीति के अंतर्गत क्या होगा।
如果…，我就去 needs 就 to mark the consequence; without it the second half sounds like an unrelated fact. Do not put 就 inside the 如果 clause, and do not swap it for 也 unless you really mean also.
如果…，我就去 में परिणाम दिखाने के लिए 就 आवश्यक है; इसके बिना दूसरा भाग असंबंधित बात लगता है। 就 को 如果 वाले उपवाक्य के भीतर न रखिए, और उसे 也 से तब तक न बदलिए जब तक अर्थ सचमुच भी न हो।
When you rehearse a plan, say the condition and the action as one 如果…就 sentence. The habit builds the connector into your speech before an exam asks you to choose it.
योजना दोहराते समय शर्त और काम को एक 如果…就 वाक्य में बोलिए। यह आदत परीक्षा में चुनाव से पहले ही जोड़ने वाले शब्द को बोलचाल में बैठा देती है।
