Sentence Patterns HSK4
如果 opens a condition and 就 opens the result. The pair is one of the most useful HSK 4 patterns for giving advice, making plans and describing likely outcomes.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
如果 comes before the condition and 就 before the result. 如果明天下雨，我们就不去公园。 If it rains tomorrow, we will not go to the park. 如果 can be shortened to 如, but 就 should stay.
如果 शर्त से पहले और 就 परिणाम से पहले आता है। 如果明天下雨，我们就不去公园। यदि कल वर्षा होगी, हम उद्यान नहीं जाएँगे। 如果 को 如 तक छोटा किया जा सकता है, पर 就 रहना चाहिए।
如果 + condition，就 + result. The person may stand before 就: 如果你不去，我也不去。 If you do not go, I will not go either. 就 can be replaced by 那么 in formal writing.
如果 + शर्त，就 + परिणाम। व्यक्ति 就 से पहले आ सकता है: 如果你不去，我也不去। यदि तुम नहीं जाओगे, मैं भी नहीं जाऊँगा। औपचारिक लेखन में 就 के स्थान पर 那么 आ सकता है।
如果你有时间，就来我家。 If you have time, come to my home. 如果考试不及格，我会很难过。 If I fail the exam, I will be very sad. 如果有问题，请告诉我。 If there is a problem, please tell me.
如果你有时间，就来我家। यदि समय हो, मेरे घर आइए। 如果考试不及格，我会很难过। यदि परीक्षा में असफल हुआ, मुझे बहुत दुख होगा। 如果有问题，请告诉我। यदि कोई समस्या हो, मुझे बताइए।
如果…就… appears in weather talk, travel plans, teachers giving rules and friends making promises. 如果堵车，我就迟到。 If there is a traffic jam, I will be late. It fits any situation with an uncertain condition.
如果…就… मौसम की बातचीत, यात्रा-योजना, अध्यापक के नियम और मित्रों के वचन में आता है। 如果堵车，我就迟到। यदि जाम लगा, मैं देर से पहुँचूँगा। यह हर अनिश्चित शर्त वाली स्थिति में फिट होता है।
Learners write 如果明天下雨，我们不去公园. The result half feels unfinished without 就. Keep the pair together: 如果…就… and 只要…就… always need the second marker.
शिक्षार्थी 如果明天下雨，我们不去公园 लिखते हैं। 就 के बिना परिणाम वाला भाग अधूरा लगता है। जोड़ी साथ रखिए: 如果…就… और 只要…就… में दूसरा चिह्न सदा आवश्यक है।
