Tones & Pinyin HSK1
When a syllable has more than one vowel, only one of them carries the tone mark. There is a fixed rule for choosing it, so a learner never has to guess.
Tones & Pinyin — The four tones, neutral tone, tone sandhi and the pinyin spellings.
Mark the a if there is one; otherwise mark the e; otherwise, in the combination ou, mark the o; otherwise mark the last vowel.
यदि a हो तो a पर चिह्न लगाइए; न हो तो e पर; न हो तो ou संयोजन में o पर; और यदि ये कोई न हों तो अंतिम स्वर पर।
a > e > o (in ou) > last vowel. So hao3 becomes hao, xie4 becomes xie, liu4 becomes liu, and gui4 becomes gui.
a > e > o (ou में) > अंतिम स्वर। इसलिए hao3 का रूप hao, xie4 का xie, liu4 का liu और gui4 का gui होता है।
hao3 好 marks the a. xie4 谢 marks the e. jiu3 九 marks the u. hui4 会 marks the i. yue4 月 marks the e.
hao3 好 में a पर चिह्न। xie4 谢 में e पर। jiu3 九 में u पर। hui4 会 में i पर। yue4 月 में e पर।
A learner writes shoa? no, they write "haò" instead of "hao". Putting the mark on the wrong vowel still names the right syllable, but it looks wrong on an exam and in a dictionary.
शिक्षार्थी "hao" के स्थान पर "haò" लिख देता है। ग़लत स्वर पर चिह्न लगाने से शब्दांश तो पहचाना जाता है, पर परीक्षा और शब्दकोश में वह अशुद्ध दिखता है।
Say the whole syllable aloud, then apply the order a, e, o, last. Doing it aloud first keeps the written form tied to the spoken one.
पूरा शब्दांश बोलिए, फिर a, e, o, अंतिम स्वर का क्रम लगाइए। पहले बोलने से लिखित रूप बोले गए रूप से जुड़ा रहता है।
