无非 reduces a matter to its plain truth and says it is nothing more than that. It is often followed by 是 or 就是 and can close with 罢了 to sound dismissive.

无非 means nothing more than and reduces a matter to its plain truth: 他这么做无非为了钱。 It is often followed by 是 or 就是: 无非是想帮忙。 A 罢了 at the end adds the sense that it is no big deal.
无非 का अर्थ है इससे अधिक कुछ नहीं, और यह बात को उसके सीधे सत्य तक सीमित कर देता है: 他这么做无非为了钱। इसके बाद प्रायः 是 या 就是 आता है। अंत में 罢了 लगाने से भाव आता है कि यह कोई बड़ी बात नहीं।

People use 无非 to calm a situation or to call something ordinary: 别担心，他无非说说而已。 In news it marks a plain cause behind a noisy event. 只, 不过 and 无非 form a rough scale from plain to dismissive.
लोग 无非 का प्रयोग स्थिति शांत करने या किसी बात को साधारण बताने के लिए करते हैं: 别担心，他无非说说而已। समाचार में यह शोर वाली घटना के पीछे का सीधा कारण बताता है। 只, 不过 और 无非 सामान्य से तुच्छ तक का क्रम दिखाते हैं।
无非 is not a plain negative of 无. Writing 无非 to mean there is none is wrong; that is 没有. Also do not use 无非 with a strong result, because its whole point is that the matter is small.
无非, 无 का साधारण नकारात्मक रूप नहीं है। कुछ न होना बताने के लिए 无非 लिखना ग़लत है; उसके लिए 没有 आता है। 无非 के साथ बड़ा परिणाम न लगाइए, क्योंकि इसका पूरा भाव यह है कि बात छोटी है।
Pair 无非 with 是 or 就是 and, when you want to sound dismissive, close with 罢了. Read the sentence without 无非 to feel how much it lowers the tone.

HSK 5 reading tests 无非 against 非常 and 并非. Only 无非 carries the sense of merely; 并非 means it is not, and 非常 means very. The rest of the sentence usually shows a small cause.
