Lesson

Possession and existence

Possession: 我有书 (I have a book). Existence: 桌上有书 (there are books on the table). In existence the place comes first, then 有, then the thing.

अधिकार: 我有书 (मेरे पास पुस्तक है)। अस्तित्व: 桌上有书 (मेज़ पर पुस्तकें हैं)। अस्तित्व में पहले स्थान, फिर 有, फिर वस्तु आती है।

Asking with 有

你有钱吗? Do you have money? 你有几个朋友? How many friends do you have? 我家有四个人。 There are four people in my family.

你有钱吗? क्या तुम्हारे पास पैसा है? 你有几个朋友? तुम्हारे कितने मित्र हैं? 我家有四个人। मेरे परिवार में चार लोग हैं।

The negative is 没有

有 is the one verb that does not take 不. "I do not have" is 我没有, never 我不有. Spoken quickly it sounds like mei3 you3.

有 एकमात्र क्रिया है जिसके साथ 不 नहीं आता। "मेरे पास नहीं है" का रूप 我没有 है, कभी 我不有 नहीं। जल्दी बोलने पर यह mei3 you3 जैसा सुनाई देता है।

Making 不有

By analogy with 不去 and 不是, learners build 不有. Mandarin keeps 有 special, so remember the fixed pair 有 / 没有.

不去 और 不是 के अनुरूप शिक्षार्थी 不有 बना देते हैं। मंदारिन 有 को विशेष रखता है, इसलिए स्थिर युग्म 有 / 没有 याद रखिए।

有 in the listening paper

HSK 1 listening contrasts 有 (have) and 没有 (do not have). One syllable decides whether the answer is positive or negative.

HSK 1 श्रवण में 有 (पास है) और 没有 (पास नहीं) का अंतर पूछा जाता है। एक शब्दांश तय करता है कि उत्तर सकारात्मक है या नकारात्मक।
