Cloze questions remove one word and offer four choices. Read the whole sentence, find the grammar slot, then remove options that do not fit the words on either side.
Reading & Listening — The two receptive skills the HSK tests, with short graded texts.
Ask what the blank needs: a verb, a noun, a measure word, a conjunction or an adverb. In 他 ___ 学校 the blank is a verb such as 去 or 到.
पूछिए कि रिक्त स्थान को क्या चाहिए: क्रिया, संज्ञा, माप-शब्द, संयोजक या क्रिया-विशेषण। 他 ___ 学校 में रिक्त स्थान में 去 या 到 जैसी क्रिया आएगी।
In 虽然下雨，___ 我们还是去了 the blank needs 但是. In 一 ___ 书 the blank needs the measure word 本. Grammar and collocation decide together.
虽然下雨，___ 我们还是去了 में 但是 आएगा। 一 ___ 书 में माप-शब्द 本 आएगा। व्याकरण और शब्द-संगति मिलकर निर्णय करते हैं।
A notice may say 请 ___ 手机 (please turn off your phone). Only 关 fits the object 手机; 开, 买 and 吃 do not collocate with it.
सूचना में 请 ___ 手机 (कृपया फ़ोन बंद कीजिए) हो सकता है। 手机 के साथ केवल 关 जुड़ता है; 开, 买 और 吃 इसके साथ नहीं आते।
A word can be close in meaning and still wrong: 看 and 见 both involve seeing, but 看电影 is right and 见电影 is not. Check the partner word.
शब्द अर्थ में निकट होकर भी ग़लत हो सकता है: 看 और 见 दोनों देखने से जुड़े हैं, पर 看电影 सही है और 见电影 नहीं। साथ आने वाला शब्द जाँचिए।
Cross out options that break grammar first, then options that break collocation. Read the finished sentence aloud to check the rhythm.
पहले वे विकल्प काटिए जो व्याकरण तोड़ते हैं, फिर वे जो शब्द-संगति तोड़ते हैं। पूरा वाक्य ज़ोर से पढ़कर लय जाँचिए।
HSK 3 reading cloze tests connectors, measure words and verb-object pairs. The answer must fit both sides of the blank.
HSK 3 पठन रिक्त-स्थान संयोजक, माप-शब्द और क्रिया-कर्म जोड़ों की परीक्षा लेता है। उत्तर को रिक्त स्थान के दोनों ओर फिट होना चाहिए।
Q1. 把 “他每天七点起床。” 译成英语。
“他每天七点起床。” का अंग्रेज़ी अनुवाद कीजिए।
Answer: He gets up at seven every day
💡 起床 表示 get up，每天 表示 every day。
Q2. 请 ___ 手机。
कृपया फ़ोन बंद कीजिए। वाक्य पूरा कीजिए: 请 ___ 手机।
Answer: 关
💡 关 和 手机 搭配，表示关掉手机。
Q3. 一 ___ 书。
एक किताब। रिक्त स्थान के लिए सही माप-शब्द लिखिए: 一 ___ 书।
Answer: 本
💡 书 的量词是 本，一本 书。
