The frame 与其说 A，不如说 B does not compare actions. It replaces one description with a more accurate one: rather than saying A, it is better to say B. The second half carries the real judgment of the speaker.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
The frame is: 与其说 + A + ，不如说 + B. Keep A and B parallel in form. The subject usually stands before 与其说 and is understood in the second half: 与其说他聪明，不如说他勤奋。 For a real choice between actions, use 与其……不如…… without 说: 与其等他，不如我们先走。

Reviews and analysis often use this frame to sound fair: 与其说这部电影讲爱情，不如说它讲孤独。 It also softens a judgment in conversation, because the speaker corrects the wording instead of attacking the person. It is common in book reviews, film criticism and careful explanations.
समीक्षाओं और विश्लेषणों में यह ढाँचा संतुलित सुनाई देने के लिए आता है: 与其说这部电影讲爱情，不如说它讲孤独। बातचीत में यह निर्णय को हल्का भी करता है, क्योंकि वक्ता व्यक्ति पर आक्रमण करने के बजाय शब्दों को सुधारता है। यह पुस्तक समीक्षा, फ़िल्म आलोचना और सावधान व्याख्या में सामान्य है।
Do not use 与其说 for a choice between two actions, and do not reverse the halves so that the less accurate description comes last. 与其说去北京，不如说明天去 is wrong because these are plans, not descriptions. Also keep 说 in both halves; 与其说他聪明，不如他勤奋 is unbalanced.
दो क्रियाओं के चुनाव के लिए 与其说 का प्रयोग न करें, और दोनों भागों को उलटकर कम सटीक विवरण अंत में न रखें। 与其说去北京，不如说明天去 ग़लत है, क्योंकि ये योजनाएँ हैं, विवरण नहीं। दोनों भागों में 说 रखें; 与其说他聪明，不如他勤奋 असंतुलित है।
Ask what the speaker really wants to emphasize, then put that in the B half. Keep both halves short and parallel, and use 是 before a noun phrase when the sentence needs a copula. Read the sentence aloud so the contrast lands on 不如说.
पहले तय करें कि वक्ता वास्तव में किस बात पर ज़ोर देना चाहता है, और उसे B भाग में रखें। दोनों भाग छोटे और समानांतर रखें, और जहाँ आवश्यक हो वहाँ संज्ञा-वाक्यांश से पहले 是 लगाएँ। वाक्य को बोलकर पढ़ें ताकि ज़ोर 不如说 पर पड़े।
HSK 6 often asks which sentence uses the frame correctly. Look for two descriptions of the same thing, not two actions. A correct option usually has parallel structure and the more precise judgment after 不如说. An option that reverses the halves changes the emphasis and is wrong.
एचएसके ६ अक्सर पूछता है कि कौन सा वाक्य ढाँचे का सही प्रयोग करता है। एक ही वस्तु के दो विवरण खोजें, दो क्रियाएँ नहीं। सही विकल्प में सामान्यतः समानांतर रचना और 不如说 के बाद अधिक सटीक निर्णय होता है। जो विकल्प दोनों भाग उलट देता है, वह ज़ोर बदल देता है और ग़लत है।
Q1. 把“与其说他不高兴，不如说他太累了。”译成印地语。
“与其说他不高兴，不如说他太累了” का हिंदी में अनुवाद करें।
Answer: यह कहने से बेहतर है कि वह नाखुश है, यह कहा जाए कि वह बहुत थका हुआ है।
💡 句子先用“不高兴”描述，再用“太累了”给出更准确的判断。
Q2. 与其说这是运气，不如说___。
यह कहने के बजाय कि यह भाग्य है, यह कहना बेहतर है कि ___।
Answer: 是努力的结果
💡 “不如说”后面要接与前面平行的完整判断，所以用“是努力的结果”。
Q3. 这本书___说是一本教材，不如说是一本故事集。
यह पुस्तक ___ कहना कि यह पाठ्यपुस्तक है, इससे बेहतर है इसे कहानियों का संग्रह कहना।
Answer: 与其
💡 “与其说……不如说……”是固定搭配，不能换成“因为”“虽然”“只有”。
