Lesson

正在 before the verb

正在 goes before the verb, often with 呢 at the end: 我正在吃饭呢。 In fast speech 正在 shortens to 在: 我在吃饭。

正在 क्रिया से पहले आता है, प्रायः अंत में 呢 के साथ: 我正在吃饭呢। जल्दी बोलने में 正在 छोटा होकर 在 बन जाता है: 我在吃饭।

What are you doing

你在做什么? What are you doing? 我正在看书。 I am reading. 他在打电话。 He is on the phone. 我们正在上课。 We are in class.

你在做什么? तुम क्या कर रहे हो? 我正在看书। मैं पढ़ रहा हूँ। 他在打电话। वह फ़ोन पर है। 我们正在上课। हम कक्षा में हैं।

Putting 正在 at the end

Learners copy English "I am eating now" and put the marker after the verb. 正在 must stand before the verb, and 呢 (if used) goes last: 我正在吃饭呢。

शिक्षार्थी अंग्रेज़ी "I am eating now" की नकल करके चिह्न को क्रिया के बाद रख देते हैं। 正在 क्रिया से पहले रहेगा, और 呢 (यदि हो) सबसे अंत में: 我正在吃饭呢।

Answer the 在做什么 question

Whenever you see an action happening, answer 我在 + verb. The frame 在做什么 / 在 + verb is learned as a pair, so the position never drifts.

जब भी कोई कार्य चलते दिखे, उत्तर दीजिए 我在 + क्रिया। जोड़ी 在做什么 / 在 + क्रिया एक साथ सीखिए, ताकि स्थान कभी न बदले।

正在 in the HSK
