Sentence Patterns HSK6
The word 至于 moves the conversation to a new but related topic. It usually opens a clause or a sentence, is followed by a comma, and means as for or as regards. It often contrasts a topic already discussed with a less central one.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
The frame is: topic already discussed + ，至于 + new topic + ，+ comment. 至于 stands at the head of the new clause, not in the middle of a noun phrase. 这个问题已经解决；至于费用，以后再谈。 The subject of the comment can be omitted when it is clear from the context.
ढाँचा है: पहले चर्चा किया विषय + ，至于 + नया विषय + ，+ टिप्पणी। 至于 नए उपवाक्य के आरंभ में खड़ा होता है, संज्ञा-वाक्यांश के बीच नहीं। 这个问题已经解决；至于费用，以后再谈। जब संदर्भ से स्पष्ट हो, तो टिप्पणी का कर्ता छोड़ा जा सकता है।

Meetings and letters use 至于 to park a secondary issue: 至于时间，我们再确认。 It is also common in comparisons, where one item is settled and another is left open. In speech, a short pause after 至于 helps the listener follow the topic shift.
बैठकों और पत्रों में 至于 किसी द्वितीयक मुद्दे को अलग रखने के लिए आता है: 至于时间，我们再确认। तुलना में भी यह सामान्य है, जहाँ एक बात तय होती है और दूसरी खुली रहती है। बोलते समय 至于 के बाद थोड़ा ठहराव श्रोता को विषय परिवर्तन समझने में मदद करता है।
Do not use 至于 as an attributive word before a noun: 至于这个问题 as the subject of a statement is less natural than 关于这个问题. Do not confuse it with 甚至, which means even, or with 不至于, which means will not go so far as. Also keep the comma after the topic.
संज्ञा से पहले विशेषण की तरह 至于 का प्रयोग न करें: कथन के कर्ता के रूप में 至于这个问题, 关于这个问题 की तुलना में कम स्वाभाविक है। इसे 甚至 से न मिलाएँ, जिसका अर्थ है यहाँ तक कि, और 不至于 से भी नहीं, जिसका अर्थ है इतनी दूर तक नहीं जाएगा। विषय के बाद अल्पविराम अवश्य रखें।
Use 至于 when the new topic is related but secondary. If the topic is the main subject of the whole sentence, use 关于 or 对于 instead. Say the phrase with a slight pause, and repeat the verb in the comment if the sentence would otherwise be unclear.
जब नया विषय संबंधित पर द्वितीयक हो, तब 至于 लगाएँ। यदि विषय पूरे वाक्य का मुख्य विषय है, तो 关于 या 对于 लगाएँ। वाक्यांश को थोड़े ठहराव के साथ कहें, और यदि वाक्य अस्पष्ट लगे तो टिप्पणी में क्रिया दोहराएँ।
HSK 6 reading often uses 至于 to mark a contrast between two topics. The correct paraphrase is as for X, while the trap is even X or not necessarily X. Check whether the sentence is shifting topic or expressing a degree.
