The fixed phrase 综上所述 means to sum up the above or in summary. It opens the final conclusion after several points have been presented, and it belongs to formal written Chinese such as reports, theses and official summaries.
Sentence Patterns — Word order, 是/有, questions, negation and the 把/被/了/过/着 patterns.
The frame is: several points + 综上所述 + ，+ final conclusion. It opens the last paragraph or the last sentence of an argument. 综上所述，我们可以得出以下结论。 The phrase itself means the points above have been summed up, so do not repeat a single detail after it.

Reports, academic papers and meeting minutes use 综上所述 to close an argument. It tells the reader that no new evidence is coming and that the next sentence is the final judgment. In speech it sounds formal and is often replaced by 总的来说.

Do not use 综上所述 in the middle of a list or before the evidence is complete. Do not follow it with 所以, which repeats the summarizing force. Do not confuse it with 由此可见: 由此可见 draws a conclusion from evidence, while 综上所述 gathers several points already made.
सूची के बीच में या प्रमाण पूरा होने से पहले 综上所述 का प्रयोग न करें। इसके बाद 所以 न लगाएँ, क्योंकि वह सार का अर्थ दोहराता है। इसे 由此可见 से न मिलाएँ: 由此可见 प्रमाण से निष्कर्ष निकालता है, जबकि 综上所述 पहले कही कई बातों को समेटता है।
Save 综上所述 for the last paragraph, and make the sentence after it a real conclusion rather than a new argument. If you have only one point, use 因此 or 所以. Keep the summary parallel to the points above.
综上所述 को अंतिम अनुच्छेद के लिए बचाएँ, और इसके बाद वाले वाक्य को नया तर्क नहीं, वास्तविक निष्कर्ष बनाएँ। यदि केवल एक बिंदु है, तो 因此 या 所以 लगाएँ। सार को ऊपर के बिंदुओं के समानांतर रखें।
HSK 6 writing and reading treat 综上所述 as a boundary marker: everything before it is support, everything after it is the conclusion. Questions often ask which sentence can be placed after it, and the answer must summarize, not add a new example.
